Assignment
- Title: Your locality (*insert area name*): An analysis for media, society, and cultural perspective.
- Description: Talking about how the people of your society (locality) use media or used in the past, media access, how they communicate to each other, the culture of your locality, the evolution of your society from the perspective of media use and cultural diversity, etc. Relate the discussion with the course topics, theories, discourses. Operationalize the assignment from an ethnographical perspective/point of view. You can take interviews from the people around you i.e. a senior, a gen z kid, etc. Do the assignment while keeping the three basic points of the course- society (what, how, evolution), culture (cultural practice in a given society), mass media (the consuming of mass media)- in mind.
- Word limit: 2.5k-3k.
- Tentative deadline: June 9. The deadline will be changed based on the academic schedule of the 5th semester. But, you are requested to start working on your primary research.
